Two “New Theatre” productions opened February 7, 7:30 p.m., at the Rooftop Theatre of the College of Arts and Social Sciences, MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology in Iligan City.

Savior returns from immersion

Hobart Savior, IPAG Associate Artistic Director, returned from immersion in community theatre in the Visayas as one of four grantees of the Ugnayan sa Sining program of the CCP Outreach. The program involves immersion, collaboration, and the exchange of experiences among art leaders. The exchange provides these artists and the communities they represent with ample information about each others activities.

Savior, also an Assistant Professor in the MSU-IIT English Department, worked among artists in Iloilo and Bacolod Cities, particularly with the Dagyaw Theatre and Dance Company of the Iloilo National High School. He also conducted workshops for the School for Special Program for the Arts and immersed in Heritage sites in various municipalities of Iloilo, in Sigma (Capiz), Roxas, Dumaguete, Silay, and  Aklan.
