Jam-packed gym salutes IPAG 25th Year
"Diwang-IPAG IPAG-diwang" attracted
a banner audience at the MSU-IIT gym last Dec. 6. The production album of IPAG'S most memorable images and sounds celebrated the Guild's Silver anniversary and the spirit that has kept the fires of regional dance and theater burning in the last 25 years. "Alive@25" is IPAG's celebratory cry announcing the Guild's contribution to the Philippine Stage and highlighting the productions that have touched hundreds and thousands of audiences here and abroad.

National tours wow large audiences
Packing gyms and theaters everywhere, "Tales From Mindanao" continued to wow audiences. The show was in St. Scholastica Nov. 12 and 15, St. Paul's Pasig in Nov. 19, and at the Misamis University, Ozamis City, last Dec. 7. During this period, the Guild highlighted the closing program of the National Travel Mart held Nov. 23 at the Mega Trade Hall of the SM Mega in Mandaluyong City.

Between scheduled legs, the Music Ensemble presented a pop and Filipino music concert to benefit the Bishop Tudtud Home for the Aged Foundation of Iligan last Nov. 30 at the Ma. Cristina Hotel.

"Tales" continues to tour extensively around the country next year beginning in January. IPAG's first international stint for 2003 will be in Shanghai, China, for the "Philippine-China: Ties That Bind" Project in March 23 to 31.

IPAG conquers Europe again
RAVE IN EUROPE

“The show was worth ten investment missions.” Consul General Bernaditas Muller of the Philippine Embassy summed up her impression of the Philippines’ Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG) after IPAG executed its third curtain call to the bravos of the packed Salle des Fete in downtown Paris. In two-and-a-half months in Europe, IPAG wove its theater charm to much adulation and once more drew the positive image of Mindanao and the country.

Monaco crème applauds IPAG
IPAG joins the illustrious ranks of leading Philippine artists after it headlined Philippine National Day at the plush Hotel de Paris last July 5. Leading the list of Who's Who that attended the event were Monaco heir Prince Albert, French Minister of State Patrick Leclerq, Philippine Ambassador Hector Villaroel, Honorary Consul Dr. Stephen Zuellig, and the various members of the diplomatic corps. IPAG performed its dance-music vignettes to a packed grand ballroom. The visibly pleased Prince Albert was complimentary in expressing his kudos for the IPAG performance.

Music Ensemble Holds Europe Concerts

After its successful series of concerts for "Fiesta Philippines" around Taiwan last May 28 to June 2, the IPAG Music Ensemble continued to perform in concerts in conjunction with the 2002 IPAG Europe tour. The ensemble performed full-length concerts for the 13th International Folklore Festival in Port Sur Saone, France last August. It accompanied the main IPAG dance-theater ensemble and provided the music and song numbers for the company's presentations from July to September.

The ensemble completed a TV documentary in Taipei and participated in the 2001 International Hand-Drum Festival last December. The concert was presented on cable beamed around the world. Intimate lounge concerts and regional performance tours are being planned for the ensemble. The ensemble that accompanies all the performances of the IPAG had a major concert in 1999 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Manila. A CD of IPAG music compositions will soon be launched.
