WHAT'S ON? 
TOURS. Tales From Mindanao at San Isidro College, Malaybalay, Bukidnon, December 15. Matinee and evening performances.

Datu Matu, Bebot Rodil's original musical on the Moro-American wars goes on a national tour next year. It is sponsored by the CCP Outreach and the National Centennial Commission. Stay "tuned" for updates.

AUDITIONS. Open to dance and song performers. Interested applicants should come in person to the IPAG Production Room, MSU-IIT gym, Monday to Friday, 4:00 p.m. College scholarships will be available, to include free tuition, books, and allowance, among others. 

PERFORMED. Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water: Tales From Mindanao 2 Homecoming performance after a highly-acclaimed Tour de France, MSU-IIT grounds, Iligan City (September 27, 6:30 p.m.)

IPAG WOWS FRANCE
Long curtain calls and standing ovations greeted the performances of the IPAG in its performances in France recently. The production Tales From Mindanao: Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water dazzled the audiences with its unique dance-narrative style. Presented in over 40 performances from the West to the East of France, "Tales" received overwhelming acclaim in press reviews and audience responses as it represented the country in major folkloric festivals.

IPAG'S 1998 WORLD TOURS
The continuing "Tales From Mindanao" saga hopes to treat its international audiences and bring the good image of the country abroad as IPAG sets its sights on its 1998 World Tours. The company is expected to leave May 21 for a month of performances in Canada, after which they proceed to the U.S. for the International Theater Festival of the American Association of Community Theaters in Michigan and the Philippine Centennial Celebrations in Washington D.C. From America, IPAG crosses the Atlantic to participate in more festivals in France, Spain, Portugal, and in other parts of Europe. They will return to the country in the third week of September.

IPAG performances have been receiving enthusiastic receptions from appreciative audiences in their regional and international shows. A list of performances for 1997 follow:

DATU MATU in National Tour


DATU MATU opens its national tour next year until the end of 1998. The musical play premiered to a warm reception of an SRO audience at the Cultural Center of the Philippines' Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino during the 2nd National Theater Festival.

"Datu Matu" is the IPAG contribution to the Philippines' celebration of the Centennial of the Revolution. The tour is under the auspices of the Cultural Center of the Philippiones and the Philippine Centennial Commission, among other sponsors.
