"Tales" 1998 tours kick-off in Iligan
The US-Canada performance tour kicks off with local performances in Iligan at the MSU-IIT Gym May 29 and 30.

New story-ballets, vignettes, and a  dance-drama from the Maranao darangen: the "Abduction of Princess Lawanen" make up the 1998 touring repertoire.

These additions pad the original international repertoire that photohas been extensively performed in Europe, Asia and the country.

IPAG opens its performances in Winnipeg June 14 (with a workshop in June 12) and moves on to the 1998 International Festival of the American Association of Community Theater in Michigan, USA, June 22 to 28, where it represents the Philippines. It then travels to Cananda for more performances before proceeding to Europe.

NCCA Grants IPAG Rep Development Support
Nineteen ninety eight will be a good year for IPAG as its operations for production and  adminstrative have been subsidized by a grant from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

The grant subsidizes support for the guild's repertory program through the build-up of its audience base in the community and outlying regions.

The grant should ensure four major productions for IPAG's 1998 season.

Season offerings for 1998
Touring dance-music productions highlight the IPAG repertory season this year.

The "Tales From Mindanao" saga sets for regional and international tours. This same production represents the country in various performance events abroad in June to September.

A new small-cast play premieres at the MSU-IIT Mini Theater in week-end runs starting September 9 to 26.
