IPAG thrills thousands
Over thirty five
thousand spectators trooped to watch the 15 shows of the well-acclaimed
MSU-IIT Integrated Performing Arts Guild’s Tales From Mindanao
and its sequel Tatlo sa Isa in IPAG’s first two legs of its roads
shows for its 32nd Season.

IPAG highlights Redemptorist
Jubilee show
IPAG main featured
the Iligan Redemptorist Jubilee celebrations in a performance last June 20, 2009
at the Redemptorist Church. Performing with the IPAG was the MSU-IIT Octava
Choral Society that recently won the gold in the CCP International Choral Fest.
Keeping post for the Iligan celebrations was Bro. Karl Gaspar, eminent Mindanaon
dramaturg.

SPOTLIGHT: IPAG in performance.
IIT Charter Day. IPAG
highlighted the flagship production celebrating 42 years of the MSU-IIT last
July 10 at the IIT gym. IPAG performed The Tale of the Bird and Fish,
which was adapted from a Maranao folk tale.
IPAG in Alumni Awards Night.
IPAG went pop during the MSU-IIT
Alumni Awards Night last July 11 at the Institute gym. The Guild’s dance company
and singing ensemble provided the numbers for this homecoming program attended
by guests from all over the Philippines.
IPAG opens 16th Iligan National Writers Workshop.
The transcreation of “Camp
Bushra on Inquirer Page One,” a poem by Christine Godinez-Ortega, highlighted
the opening of the 16th Iligan National Writers Workshop last May 25.
The workshop, one of 3 institutionalized in the country, gathered 16 fellows
whose works were critiqued by a panel of some of the most distinguished Filipino
writers.

cities around the world, in the USA, Hawaii, Monaco, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, the
Netherlands, Austria, United Kingdom, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, .
It won the Grand Prize in the Concourse de
Chanson Internationaux
and was most awarded group of the 13th International Folklore Festival in
Port Sur Saone, France.
It performed for the Philippine Centennial Celebrations in
Hawaii and in 6 other States in the U.S. Mainland. It represented the country in
the 9th Taipei Arts Festival in October 2007. |
