IPAG's Pearl year glows
Keeping reputation as one of the country’s best, the IPAG shone with memorable productions thrilling thousands who watched its over 80 performances this 30th Season. This Season, IPAG enthralled Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Naga, Iligan, Zamboanga, and Manila – some of the few places it has touched its audiences in its 30 years as a performing arts company. IPAG represented the Philippines in the 9th Taipei International Arts Festival last October with Uwahig. Other notable shows included Diwang-IPAG, IPAG-Diwang (which ushered the Pearl Year), the twin-bill In2rscors, and the road tours of Tales From Mindanao which performed in over 40 shows nationwide keeping its long run as the Guild’s most sought-after production. MingMing in the second semester completed a 16-show run including full-house performances at the Tanghal National Theatre Festival at the Western Mindanao State University in Zamboanga City and the Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro City. Experimental multi-media Performance Art productions in unconventional spaces awed the local audiences. With the season of performances were training programs in dance, drama, multi-media, playwriting, technical theatre and theatre management.
