Flourish: Season 31 enters

IPAG mounts its 31st Season promising to thrill audiences with more memorable productions in national and international road tours.

At home, IPAG remounts Ranaw: Isang Alamat in September 12 and 13. The CCP-award winning play which extensively toured in the mid-80s will be reinvented in new media to update its aesthetics.

New works in multi-media including the distillation of the stories of three Mindanao epic heroes also premiere in September (Dates: September 17 – October 4). Entitled epiKlogo, the New Theatre productions presents the inner realities of Bantugan, Mebuyan, and Agyu.

In the February Arts Month, Pop and Poetry allows the popular appreciation of the poems of Southern Philippine writers as these are transcreated to the stage with the pop mediums of dance and music.

Still, Tales From Mindanao, Tatlo sa Isa, MingMing, and Bak2Bak will continue performing to thousands in its road tours here and abroad.

On December 3 to 6, IPAG hosts the Mindanao Theatre Festival of New Works. IPAG cements its reputation as an innovator with more experimental productions mounted between July 2008 and March 2009.

Announcements of specific schedules and their venues will be posted here and in the tri-media.
