IPAG magic enchants Bicol, Iligan
Cheering fans, wild applause, and standing ovations greeted the
encores of the Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG), undoubtedly
one of Philippine Theatre's most exciting acts today.

IPAG cruised through the cities of Legaspi, Naga, and the town of
Nabua, all in the Bicol region, performing the world-acclaimed
"Tales From Mindanao" dance saga and its sequel "Tatlo Sa Isa,"
narratives of Mindanao tales using Philippine indigenous idioms.
The Bicol road show,
IPAG's fifth in this province for Philippine Theatre's most travelled repertory company of perhaps the most-performed dance
production today, drew standing-room-only audiences in six
performances at the Legaspi Astrodome (Dec. 2), Cam Sur Polytechnic
College (Dec. 3), and the Ateneo de Naga (Dec. 5).
The Bicol shows came at
the heels of three similarly well-applauded full houses at the large
MSU-IIT gymnasium in Iligan City in Nov. 29 and 30.
IPAG shows average 50,000
audiences of about 50 performances every season around the country
and abroad. "Tales" has been performed in over a hundred cities
worldwide and will soon embark on international projects with the
Philippine Government.
