THEATER STUDIES is a new section this web site will offer. In regional Philippine universities such as ours, there will always be the lack of materials and sources that may hinder our students from further appreciating the drama and theater. Also, students make this lack reason for their lackluster conduct in the classroom. This site will primarily meet the reading and course needs of my classes in The Drama (English 95) and Dramatics and Stagecraft (English 145), and complement other curricular activities in the Humanities and theater training workshops. This site will also provide the lessons from topic to topic (including assignments and further cross-references) for students to follow-through the lectures and other lessons we may not achieve from actual class contacts. Being web weaver of the IPAG site, I take this opportunity to include here the course outlines, some basic introductions and general studies, and the plays which require no copyright as these are of public domain. I have my own essays published here, however, I should request some acknowledgement whenever these are used for references. I outline the topics here for easy navigation. This site, as is always the case, will undergo heavy revisions as the needs arise. It will be regularly updated to meet my class requirements especially during times when I am out of town. Theater Studies opens in a different web template design, however buttons may easily bring the reader back to the IPAG pages. Steven Patrick C. Fernandez Professor |
