The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) has granted
Philippine Patent Certificates of Registration to four original works
created in the Institute.
MSU- Iligan Institute of Technology has been named a host Institution to
operate an Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) or a
“patent library.”
The already-storied reputation of Science research in the MSU-Iligan
Institute of Technology has chalked up another milestone: the Institute has
been selected to host the country’s first central research program to
find natural substances to cure illnesses.
Honey Swiert Y. Larayos and Nasphia A. Malawani, senior BEED-English
students of the College of Education (CED), won Best Paper of the Session
Award during the 2012 International Conference on Education and Management
Innovation held in Singapore last February 26-28, 2012.

The MSU-IIT through the College of Nursing (CON) and the Sendong Dynamic
Response Team (SDRT) assisted the A.L.I.V.E. (Always Live In Victory
Everyday) Foundation, a charitable arm of Alliance in Motion Global (AIM
Global). These organizations were in Iligan at the Institute gym last
January 19, 2012 to conduct a medical mission and to distribute relief
goods for Sendong survivors.
The MSU-IIT Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research &
Extension’s -Multi-Media Information & Dissemination Unit
(OVCRE-MMIDU) hosts this year’s HALAD 2, a satellite project of the
TABOAN, the Philippine Writers Festival on Monday, February 20, 2012 at
1:00 PM at the Mini-Theatre.
